Oklahoma proved to be an exciting weekend for me.   After screwing up my chances of placing in bare back bronc riding on Saturday (see below)  I had redemption on Sunday.  My first bronc on Sunday did one leap then decided to lie on its side trapping my right leg and spraining my ankleI took the offered re-ride and made my ride clinching the buckle.   Unfortunately, I also got rammed against the calf roping chute before I could dismount and that sprained my right hand, abraded my right side, ripped my jeans and protective vest, and pulled my back pretty bad.  All in all, a small price to pay for a buckle!  hehe

Bart&Kyle1TN.JPG (2823 bytes) Fellow NSGRA member Kyle and I are putting on our spurs.   Kyle has been very supportive of me and I am proud to have him as a teammate and friend.  (Thanks for the duct tape over the weekend, Kyle! <g>)

SatbroncTN.JPG (2965 bytes) This is my first Saturday bronc ride.  The horse didn't want to leave the chute and in fact walked out a bit before bucking.  I was offered a re-ride which I took.  Unfortunately, I did not make my second ride.   Sunday proved to be painful.  I got two chances and did manage to win the buckle!   (see above)
BartRandy2TN.JPG (2702 bytes) My friend Randy was very impressed with my fashion statement!  My steer ride on Saturday concluded with me being tossed over its head and ripping a large panel in the front of my jeans.  Duct tape was the buzz word for the weekend.  My protective vest was damaged on Sunday and duct tape was very useful there, too!
